This was my first  large film project. I used small DV camcorders for most of the filming so the visual quality was a bit limited. I was also quite inexperienced so there’s too much camera movement for my liking. But I think it’s still worth watching.

The film outlines the background to the public health challenges facing Kyrgyzstan in the post Soviet era and describes an EU funded project aiming to help redesign and develop public health training at the the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.

This was a really important project for me and it has had an enduring impact on my thinking ever since.
